How we work

Choosing where to have fertility treatment is a big decision, so we want you to know exactly where our information comes from. Thai Fertility Path uses only what clinics publish about themselves and what regulators publish about them; this page explains the rest.

Where the information comes from

We draw every fact on a clinic's profile from just two kinds of source:

  • the clinic or hospital's own official website;
  • an official body, such as a regulator, professional council or government department.

We never rely on patient forums, review sites, social media, other comparison sites or agencies. You will find the exact pages we used, and when we read them, listed on each profile, so you can look for yourself. When a detail is not published in those sources, we say so rather than fill the gap with a guess.

What we look for

On each clinic's profile, we include these details only when they have been published:

  • the treatments and services on offer, and which areas of care they fall under;
  • any accreditations the clinic states, for example hospital accreditation;
  • the languages the clinic says it can support;
  • address, main phone number, opening hours and emergency cover;
  • prices, but only where the clinic publishes them, with a link so you can see the original.

Each area of care has its own checklist too, which you will find on its hub page: IVF and fertility clinics, egg freezing clinics, women's health and OB-GYN services.

We do not judge clinical quality, treatment outcomes or individual doctors. The order of clinics on a comparison page is not a ranking; a clinic is included because it publishes the treatment being compared.

Keeping things current

Every profile tells you when we last read its sources. We aim to go back to each clinic's sources at least once every six months, or sooner if a clinic or reader lets us know something has changed. Package prices and the doctors on a team can change quickly, so please check them with the clinic before you make plans.

The people behind the pages

Our writers gather the facts and note where each one comes from. Every area of care has a named editor (Kanokwan Thongdee looks after anything not yet assigned), who reads the comparisons and guides against their sources before they go live, flagging anything that might come across as personal advice. None of us is a treating clinician, and nothing here is medical advice.

If something is not right

If you notice something that is wrong or has changed, please let us know through the correction form or at [email protected]. It helps if you tell us the page and share a link to the clinic's own page with the up-to-date details. We then check that source, correct the page and update its date. Clinics updating their own details are asked to send us to their website rather than new claims we cannot attribute.

A note on medical advice

We set out what clinics say about themselves to help you prepare for your conversations with them. Your own doctor or fertility specialist is the right person to advise you on treatment. Please read our medical disclaimer.
