This profile summarises information Siriraj Hospital publishes. It is not an endorsement, and Thai Fertility Path is not affiliated with the provider.
About
Siriraj's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is organised into subspecialties, and for a fertility-focused reader the relevant ones are reproductive medicine, infertility and gynaecologic endocrinology. Its other units cover maternal-fetal medicine, gynaecologic oncology and endoscopy, family planning, and female pelvic medicine with reconstructive surgery.
Access depends on which side of the hospital you use. The main public hospital, opened in 1888 and now run by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, sees new patients on a walk-in basis and its phone line is in Thai. Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital (SiPH), the faculty's 402-bed private hospital, takes appointments, runs an English website and reports a fourth JCI reaccreditation in 2023.
The faculty itself reports Advanced Hospital Accreditation (Advanced HA) for the third time in a row, and lists more than 2,000 beds.
Women's Health and OB-GYN Services
Women researching fertility will find that Siriraj's obstetrics and gynaecology department has units for reproductive medicine, infertility and gynaecologic endocrinology, with maternal-fetal medicine, family planning, oncology, endoscopy and female pelvic reconstructive surgery alongside.
The simpler route for an appointment is the Gynaecology Center at the private SiPH wing, open 07:00–21:00 every day on the 2nd floor of Zone E. Services include transvaginal ultrasound, saline sonohysterography and hysteroscopy, which are often part of a fertility work-up, plus laparoscopic or open operations on the uterus and ovaries and reversal of tubal sterilisation. It also covers Pap smears and HPV tests, colposcopy, contraception, prolapse and stress incontinence surgery, and menopause and bone density care.
This suits women who want university subspecialists but need appointments in the evening or at weekends.
