About

Fertility care is based in the Fertility Center & IVF Clinic, in the North Wing of the main building (2nd floor), the same floor and wing as the Women's Center. The hospital describes a fertility team of more than 20 specialists and staff. Treatment ranges from medication and hysteroscopic or laparoscopic surgery through IUI to IVF and ICSI, and the laboratory offers EmbryoScope time-lapse imaging, MACS sperm selection, PGT-A and PGT-M, with pre-pregnancy carrier screening from a medical genetics specialist.

Overseas patients are central to how the hospital works: it reports over 1.1 million patients annually, drawn from more than 190 countries, a medical coordination office and referral offices, more than 130 interpreters, and the same prices for local and international patients. Teleconsultation and online enquiries are available before travelling.

The hospital opened in 1980, moved to its 580-bed building in 1997 and publishes JCI accreditation, which it says it first received in 2002, along with Global Healthcare Accreditation. It does not publish prices for IVF or egg freezing.

IVF and Fertility Clinics

An IVF cycle at Bumrungrad takes four to six weeks, according to the hospital. Before reaching IVF, patients may be treated with medication, hysteroscopy or laparoscopy, or IUI; IVF and ICSI then use either day-3 or blastocyst transfer. The clinic names its doctors, each listed in both reproductive medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology, within a team of more than 20.

The laboratory options published are EmbryoScope time-lapse monitoring, MACS for choosing sperm, and two forms of embryo genetic testing: PGT-A using NGS, and PGT-M, which looks for single-gene disorders like thalassaemia. Couples can also have carrier screening before pregnancy with a medical genetics specialist.

The clinic opens seven days a week, and a round-the-clock contact centre, online enquiry forms and teleconsultation make it possible to start the conversation from abroad. Prices for IVF are not published.

  • Day-3 or blastocyst transfer
  • EmbryoScope time-lapse imaging
  • PGT-A by NGS and PGT-M
  • Pre-pregnancy carrier screening
  • Remote consultations available

Fertility Center & IVF Clinic, Building B (Main Building), 2nd Floor, North WingMonday–Saturday 07:00–20:00; Sunday 07:00–17:00+66 2 066 8888

Worth confirming: With no IVF prices published, ask for an itemised quote, and check your eligibility under Thai law: the hospital's egg-freezing page says eggs are fertilised with a legal spouse's sperm.

Egg Freezing Clinics

Eggs are frozen by vitrification and stored at –196°C. The hospital presents the service to three groups: women not yet ready to start a family, women with conditions such as SLE or endometriosis that can hasten the loss of eggs, and women about to have chemotherapy, radiotherapy or ovarian surgery.

The published process begins with a consultation and examination, followed by stimulation injections starting on roughly day 2 or 3 of the menstrual cycle, three or four monitoring appointments, an egg collection lasting about 30 minutes, and then freezing in the lab. Frozen eggs could in principle be stored indefinitely, but the hospital recommends using them within 10 years, and it states they are later fertilised with the legal spouse's sperm.

Bookings, questions and teleconsultations go through the contact centre. Neither a package price nor a storage fee is given.

  • Freezing by vitrification
  • For medical and non-medical reasons
  • Use within 10 years recommended
  • Egg collection of about 30 minutes

Fertility Center & IVF Clinic, Building B (Main Building), 2nd Floor, North WingMonday–Saturday 07:00–20:00; Sunday 07:00–17:00+66 2 066 8888

Worth confirming: Because the hospital links later use of the eggs to a legal spouse's sperm, single women should ask what is permitted; request the package price and the yearly storage fee too.

Women's Health and OB-GYN Services

The Women's Center shares the North Wing's 2nd floor in Building B with the fertility clinic, which can make the step from fertility treatment to antenatal care a short one. It deals with check-ups and menstrual problems as well as pregnancy, delivery, infertility and menopause, and the hospital says 97 specialists work with it, including subspecialists in urogynaecology, reproductive medicine, gynaecologic oncology and maternal-fetal medicine.

Prenatal testing includes NIPT, chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis, and the obstetric team also performs cervical cerclage and blood transfusion to the baby in the womb; newborn intensive care is on site. Listed operations include myomectomy, hysterectomy and laparoscopic surgery, and linked clinics cover IVF, menopause, perinatal care, breastfeeding and breast care.

It may suit women with a high-risk or twin pregnancy who want specialist obstetric and gynaecological care in one department.

  • Same floor as the fertility clinic
  • NIPT, CVS and amniocentesis
  • Intrauterine fetal transfusion
  • Newborn intensive care on site
  • 97 specialists linked to the centre
